Xtracks 3 20 Msts Download Locomotives
Posted By admin On 03.01.20'ARG706'Didn't realise you were redoing Gawler to Adelaide as well.Small point, the underpass on the right sits past the end of the platform, no platform built around it. See if you can find a photo of the real thing (I tried).Overall this route is not just a MSTS route, but a history lesson as well. The landscape looks like the real thing.Anyone here want to try and do the same for the Belair line?
The track grades and hills just don't fell right in that either. 'fabricator'Won't be touching that subway just right now, but thanks for the pickup, anyhow. The Belair line as is has given me many hours of enjoyment running Red Hens and steam trains on tight schedules. Accurate route building was much, much more challenging from a prototypical point of view before the advent of the various Google programs around 2005, and even then Google earth was very limited in its high-res coverage. There are not many whom have released an 600 mile route with this level of overall detail remember 8)It's a long story regarding what has happened to this route in the past few months, but it has recovered well and a 2008 release may still be a possibility at this stage. Michael's 'SA Mid-North Route - Adelaide to the Barossa Valley' is an excellent bit of work and is beautifully done and certainly this northern route will well compliment Allan's 'South Australia - Adelaide, Hills and South East Route Version 2'. Between the two routes one can travel from the Mount - Adelaide - Terowie and places in between. No one will be disappointed with this route and especially for any S.A.R. Old fart, or anyone who can well remember that S.A.R.
Era fondly, will be blown away and it will be a walk back in time.Sorry, getting bit nostalgic now as it gets close to final release.Regards,An S.A.R. I have been informed by Yuri Sos that the midnorth and Barossa route is now released on steam4me. It can be downloaded atAccompanying the route release today are Allan Lownsborough's lovely 620 class engines.
These may be downloaded atEnjoy 'ARG706'Hello ARG706,Well, take a bow Michael, the Midnorth and Barossa route is very well done and is certainly well worth the wait and one can see the great effort put into this route. Also to all who helped in any way to make this step back in time route become a reality to enjoy. The route installed perfectly, is great to see it now fully up and running for all to enjoy.
Just had to try Allan's 620 steamer in the 'Down Angaston Passenger' activity and coming into Sandy Creek, ( running bit late ) was greeted with a fantastic sight. The setting was perfect with the Rx freight waiting for the cross. Andrew, if you downloaded the installer version from Steam4me site, everything is included. You don't need any extra addons. (As long as you have the current Xtracks and Newroads).
Just run the installer, then let the DOS box installer run, then start the game. It should all work fine them.Cheers,Wayne 'Guard Class 2'Andrew, besides Xtracks and Newroads, did you also install Scaleroads Public beta available from the 3DTrains site. Also this may be sound bit silly, but when installing the route on my pc, I did not see the usual DOS box appear automatically, wondering why I started looking around and then spotted the Dos batch box behind what was on screen already automatically running. It probably be quite easy to have not let the DOS box batch complete its run. Just a thought as it had me wondering for a moment. Are you sure it did do its full run?Regards.
Got all those extra's guys. It starts loading the route in the game and gets to a point then goes to a black screen with just the MSTS header and then eventually i get the standard MS program error message.
I've tried so many times and i've even redownloaded Xtracks and Newroads again (as i had downloaded the right versions a while ago.) But still with no luck. At the moment that is the only route that i have installed that doesn't come with the game. Is there something that isn't obvious that i might have missed out.
As for scale roads i downloaded that again last night and re installed it and still nothing. All the loco's and rollingstock are there so i cant see what i've missed.Cheers, Andrew. First I presume your 6 default routes all work fine in MSTS.You have had no other add-on routes installed you say. Then with everything required for the mid-north route installed, it should be fine. Here I presume you can actually START MSTS itself and works fine but as soon as you click 'Mid-North & Barossa route', what exactly does msts do. Do you get any little boxes while loading saying something is amiss before it all cracks a fruity.Myself I only run mini routes, reason I mention this here is my original installed msts acts only as a fully fresh clean installed MSTS with the patch with only the 6 default routes as these are required for add-on route installs as a foundation for all my mini add-in installed routes like the Mid North. I've installed many routes over time into a basic copy of this 'much like a clean install everytime' and all the installed routes have installed everytime no problem. As I understand it you installed the Mid North into much like I do into a standard fresh installed msts, so nothing else to give hassles.
Combined HASP driver and softlock licence for Caddie 16 onwards. If you already have a softlock you can download and run the GUI installer instead. This is the latest installer based on the Hasp 7.8 driver.Use this with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.Usage:Ensure that there are no copies of Caddie running.
You also stated you also did a re-install of msts, with exactly same results. If msts works fine with your 6 default routes, then it does sound like something in your MSTS after installing the route is missing, or you not installed it all correctly.I not know if this makes any difference but I used the Multi-part (11 files) installer, not the 'Single file installer' though I doubt VERY much if that would make any difference. If the installer ran right through okay and the Dos batch box ran afterwards right through, then it should all be okay.

Hmmm got me buggered what it is, though like in many things, be something stupid.By the way, I have the MSTS Bin Patch 1.8.0521 EN.exe in and Yard Cam and it all works a treat. But I doubt that Bin would make any difference to the actual starting up of the route itself, as the route should still load up okay, anyway I always install Bin AFTER I see the route is working fine.Regards. I might try the same bin as you ans see if that helps.
I did use the single part installer so it might be that.Anyways thanks for your help guys. Not having Xtracks 3.20 will cause route to crash (generally because Xtracks 3.20 also loads the latest tsection.dat (build 38 ) and the route crashes because the tsection.dat is out of date).
This is the number one cause of routes failing to work, based on the hundreds of support emails about crashing routes I've received and responded to over the years.4. Not having Newroads 4.0 will cause many 'error loading shape' messages but will not crash the route.5. Not having Scaleroads will cause many 'error loading shape' messages but will not crash the route.6.
Not running the installme.bat file will cause the route to crash, sometimes without warning, other times with a 'Train World Initialization failed' message. Run the installme.bat file again from the route folder watching for many '1 file(s) copied' messages.7. Not having the rolling stock installed will cause many'Error reading Train Database' messages, but will not crash the route.8. Not having OptionsAdvanced DisplayTextured Sky selected will crash the route, sometimes without warning, other times with a 'Train World Initialization failed' message.9.
Installing MSTS to a 'C rogram Files' folder in Vista leaves you wide open to a whole lot of 'security' issues. If installing MSTS under Vista, do so to a folder OUTSIDE 'Program Files' - see for more information.
Okay, all the settings are right and it shows the same properties as yours steam4me I can get it to load an activity now but when it loads it's 'half frozen' as such, i can change camera's but the loco's frozen. 'xr554'Andrew,Just out of curiosity, what OS (XP, Vista or whatever) is on your PC.YuriNice setout and very well explained. Never thought to do a before and after comparison.Interesting point with msts in 'Program Files' folder using Vista. My original MSTS and my mini msts routes have always been in the root folder anyway. So IF. I went Vista ( I wouldn't, happy with XP Pro Sp3) that is handy to know anyway.
